Winter in The Bay Area

Commencement of Winter in the Bay area is as much ceremonious as dawning of summer. For many reasons. One being Foggy noons.

San Francisco as seen from a ferry travelling across from Alcatraz in Dec 2005.

A foggy afternoon as seen on the hills of Calaveras in Milpitas.

Hmm, I work in a part of San Jose which is very close to Milpitas - not even a whisper of a fog to be seen :-(! Or maybe something like getting up early needs to be done to see that :-P!

But wait a minute, you said noons. Nopes, no fog here then!

@Archana: Getting up early is a dream Err..Nightmare for me too. :P.

These are in the anticipation of the Winter. Pictured last Dec. Hope we get similar noons this year too. Take a ride on 237(E)->calaveras up hill->loop back by 680, during late december you will see it and love it !!
